Heartfelt Testimonials

"There aren’t enough words for how much we love and appreciate Dr. Rice. Dr. Rice isn’t just our vet — she’s truly one of the most compassionate, dedicated, and extraordinary people I’ve ever met. We’ve followed her across the Valley for years, because once you’ve had a vet like her, no one else compares. I first met Dr. Rice when our girl Sadie was a puppy. She had broken her little paw, and Dr. Rice was so incredibly gentle and nurturing with her — even holding her in the back in her tiny cast to comfort her. That’s just who she is. She sees your pet as family and treats them with the kind of love that makes you feel safe too.  She’s been with us through all the seasons — the joyful ones and the heartbreaking ones. When our dog Atlas was suddenly diagnosed with a ruptured splenic tumor and had to be taken to the emergency vet, it wasn’t even Dr. Rice treating him at that point. But she still took our call — during the middle of her workday — and talked me through the devastating decision to say goodbye. She cried with me. She showed up for us in a way I will never forget. Afterward, she left me the most beautiful memorial gift — a framed photo of Atlas with a quote that brought me to tears. It was deeply personal and incredibly thoughtful. It meant so much.  Now, all these years later, she’s helping us navigate palliative care for Sadie, who has a nasal tumor. And she’s walking alongside us as we try to get answers for Hugo, our younger dog with ongoing stomach issues. She’s always patient, always thorough, always kind — even when I’m overwhelmed or worried. She is calm, present, and never rushed. She makes the whole experience peaceful and personal. It’s such a gift.  If you’re lucky enough to have Dr. Rice as your vet, you will feel the difference. You’ll feel seen, heard, and supported. Your animals will be loved like her own. And you’ll never want to go anywhere else.  We’re beyond grateful for her. She’s truly one of a kind."

“If veterinarians are accepted in society as being the guardian angels of our beloved pets, then I have no hesitation professing that Dr. Rice has been truly a gift from above, who serves to heal, comfort, nurture and help protect the lives of my 3 past and present dogs whom she’s treated since I met her 6 years ago. From the initial treatment session of caring for my then-10 year old Boxer, she exhibited great compassion and loving attention to my dog as if it were her own, knowing firsthand the traits of senior dogs. Her knowledge of veterinary medicine – and use of examples from her own dogs’ histories as a way to help explain causes of symptoms, remedies, possible side effects and any ongoing treatments for me to monitor - always impressed me, as did her naturally-personable and friendly manner of communicating with sincerity, patience and the utmost of attentiveness to my frequently-detailed questions. When my 10-year old Boxer passed away, Dr. Rice sent her heartfelt condolences with flowers. I adopted a 1-year old Boxer pup, whom she regularly treated, making each visit as welcoming for both my somewhat-shy pup and myself. After only 4 years before my pup tragically passed away, Dr. Rice called me amidst tears to express her profound sadness and mourning for my loss – and, when I brought my next adopted Boxer pup for her first wellness exam, before my appointment even arrived, Dr. Rice came out to the lobby to embrace my pup and I out of joy. That moment, amidst the 6 years that I’ve followed Dr. Rice from clinic to clinic to now her own practice, symbolizes not only the thoroughly-competent, professional and diligent way she serves her patients but how ingrained it is in her personality and identity to open her heart and love for all the animals she has the opportunity to treat. There are no limitations or hesitations on how much I personally value and recommend her services to any new and existing clients and their pets.”

"Dr. Rice's impressive expertise and commitment to fair pricing have fostered a deep trust between us. During house calls, we can ensure that my pets receive outstanding care within the comfort of our home. This limits their exposure to viruses, unpleasant smells, and jarring noises which is crucial for my two dogs that deal with high anxiety. Dr. Rice's in-home visits also allow her to devote more attention to my pets, creating a more personalized experience than a traditional hospital setting. I highly recommend Dr. Woof's Veterinary Care!"

“In my past experience with other veterinarians prior to meeting Dr. Rice, medical treatments for my dogs were always offered but, when I would ask for recommendations about diet, dog food ratings or feeding routines, I typically received evasive responses of hesitation or ambiguity. With each of my dogs that Dr. Rice has treated, she’s always been proactive (without being overbearing or sales-oriented) in offering personal guidance and advice for how weight control can be managed for each individual pet. After I brought my current pup adopted from a rescue shelter for her first visit with Dr. Rice, I asked about nutritional recommendations – specifically, what and how she fed and cared for her own personal dogs and emphasizing how I wanted to ensure my dog remained as healthy, vibrant and strong for as long as possible. Not only did Dr. Rice happily oblige me with suggestions from her own experience but she made the extra effort in breaking down the caloric content and protein rations for a combination of dry and frozen food, calculating for me the exact measured portions by ounce. Trusting Dr. Rice like I do, I put my pup on the plan she recommended. After over a year of being on this new healthy diet, my pup remains at a constant and healthy weight for her breed, with abundant energy and endless enjoyment of each meal she receives. For any new patients that might wonder about what they’re feeding their pets, I strongly encourage utilizing Dr. Rice’s well-researched and personally-tested knowledge for not only treating injuries and illnesses but planning around the best wellness plan your loving pet deserves.”
