Imagine exceptional veterinary care directly at your doorstep. As a veterinarian with over 16 years of experience, Dr. Holly Rice founded Dr. Woof’s Veterinary Care to offer compassionate and skilled healthcare for your beloved pet in the comfort of your own home. Whether it's a routine wellness checkup, treatment for an illness, or time to say goodbye, we are dedicated to creating a personalized plan for your pet's unique needs. At DWVC, we believe in providing quality care while always honoring your family’s financial considerations, ensuring peace of mind for you and optimal health for your cherished companion.
We do everything we can to minimize your pet's stress, however we cannot see pets that require injectable sedation for examination or treatment. Rabies vaccination is required for dogs.
We provide a comprehensive exam complete with a tailored vaccine schedule or titers, diagnostic testing, and other preventive care to keep your pet healthy, protected, and thriving year-round. For your pet's safety we give mercury-free Rabies vaccines only and adjuvant-free vaccines for cats. We also administer manufacturer-approved 0.5mL (half-volume) vaccines whenever possible.
We are prepared for common medical concerns such as ear infections, eye issues, lumps and bumps, allergic skin problems, lethargy and decreased activity, weight changes, coughing and sneezing, changes in appetite and thirst, vomiting and diarrhea, limping, minor wounds, and geriatric and hospice care. We also have extensive experience treating valley fever.
We are able to collect blood, urine, and tissue samples in your home. We then submit them to leading veterinary diagnostic laboratories for timely and accurate results to provide the absolute best care of your pet. At this time we are unable to perform imaging (radiographs, ultrasound, etc) however we have trusted local referrals available.
Your new puppy or kitten needs stellar care for a healthy foundation in life. We are well-versed in the preventive care needed for your newest family member. We also take pride in educating new puppy or kitten owners so that they feel confident taking an active part in their pet's care. In-home care also protects your puppy from exposure to diseases while they grow.
After having several senior pets of our own, we understand that seeing your pet age can be heartbreaking, stressful, and confusing. We provide supportive and compassionate care not just for your aging pet, but for you as well as you navigate this stage of life together.
Giving your pet the gift of a peaceful passing is a deeply personal and emotional decision. We are here to help ease your burden by assessing your pet's quality of life and providing in-home end-of-life services. We partner with AquaCrossings for aquamation (a sustainable alternative to pet cremation that is gentler for your pet).
We take pride in our knowledge of nutrition and understand that a healthy body condition is linked directly to longevity. Your pet will receive personalized recommendations on diet, supplements, and weight management to support their long-term health.
Anxiety is common in dogs and cats and can truly affect their quality of life and yours. We offer support for anxiety, reactivity, or other behavior concerns for your pet in the comfort of your home. Please note that although we work with anxious pets we cannot see pets that require injectable sedation for examination.
Pain management is paramount when treating many medical conditions especially since pets excel at hiding pain. We are skilled at pain evaluation and offer injectable and oral options along with advanced, non-invasive therapies like PEMF and cold laser. Our goal is to relieve pain and inflammation and improve mobility for your pet.
Telemedicine video appointments are often used for minor concerns that do not need involved care or long-term monitoring, or for in-depth conversations when a phone call or email isn't enough. They are also helpful to prescribe pre-exam anxiety medications, or for pets that can't be examined without injectable sedation. Please note that after the telemedicine evaluation, you may be advised that your pet needs an in-person appointment for the best care.
